Day 2...Münich, Germany

When we finally landed in Frankfurt, we were all pretty tired. It didn't take us too long to go through customs and get our packs. We took the bus to the next terminal and then a train to the Frankfurt HBF (main train station). In that process, Kerri got hit with a bit of motion sickness. But it wasn't too bad. We got our overnight train reservation at the Frankfurt HBF and waited for our train to Munich. Here's some pictures from that part of our journey.
Once we made it to Münich, we checked into our hostel and went shopping. I particularly wanted to purchase a drindl (the authentic German dress) and a pyramida (a traditional Christmas decoration). Here some pictures from our night of shopping.

For dinner, we ate at the legendary Hofbräuhaus. It is a famous beer hall in Münich. While everyone was drinking to their hearts content...we were eating good food. Here are some pictures from our adventure there.

Then we walked around downtown Münich and took a few pictures of the surroundings. This main clock is called the "Glokenspiel". I'm not sure if that is how it is spelled. :) They also had their Christmas Market out and it was amazing! They had an ice skating rink at the beginning of the main street.

First Travel Day

As it turns out, we didn't have the right kind of converter for the laptop and my battery is less than satisfactory. I was only able to get online once and I had about 5 min before my battery died. That is why we were never able to post about our trip. We are all back now and still struggling to be comfortable in our regular schedules again. To be fair, I will still fill out the blog and let you know what we did.

Day 1...travel and more travel
Our flight from SLC to JFK was supposed to leave around 10:15 or so. We ended up taking off before noon. :S We got into JFK and still had over an hour to catch our flight to Frankfurt. We ate at a Chili's in the airport and felt pretty gross afterward. Airport food is nasty! We got on our plane to Frankfurt and they taxied us around for 2 hours before we finally took off. We were all a bit tired from all the delays, but we were still really excited for our upcoming trip. Here are some pictures from the first travel day.
